BE1 - This is a trade paperback that has been library bound between stiff boards. A tight, clean, sound copy in monochrome illustrated pink wraps with minor overall shelf wear primarily in the form of some wrinkling along the spine plus there is a patch of surface damage (about 0.75") from the top spine edge plus there is a crease on the original front cover towards the bottom quarter plus there is a very light bump to the top right paper corners plus there is a patch of light label staining (about 0.75"x2") on the front board plus there are the usual library marks and stamps on the front and back original covers and preface page plus there are large patches of glue staining on the back cover and inside surface of the back board from a library label and library pocket. This is the publication of a scholarly paper delivered July 1963 at the Royal Institution, co-sponsored by the Bibliographical Society, and connected to the Eleventh International Printing Machinery and Allied Trades Exhibition. The author discusses the siginficance and expression of changes in the English constitution from the July 1641 publication of Bills of the Long Parliament. These bills were the Act for the Regulating of the Privy Cauncil and the removal of the Star Chamber and an Act repealing a statute concerning commissioners for causes ecclesiastical.
