A Room With a View and Howards End and Maurice Forster, E. M.
Quality Paperback Book Club New York, New York, USA 1971 Trade Paperback Good, No Jacket as Issued
BE5 - A trade paperback book in good+ condition. A tight, clean, sound copy in color illustrated green wraps with minor overall wear plus some creasing on the back cover at the bottom left corner plus a small (about 0.5") closed tear on the front at the bottom left corner plus a crease along the spine on the front plus some light creasing of the spine plus some very light soiling on the outside paper edges. A collection, in one volume, of 3 of the author's best known novels and, coincidentally, these have all been made into notable films. "Room With a View" is about a beautiful young woman inhibited by the restrictive conventions of Edwardian England. During her first visit to Italy, new passions are stirred which throw the attentions of her stuffy suitor and her entire way of life into doubt. "Howards End" is about the relationship of a landed aristocratic family and a pair of sisters who are cultivated and politically liberal and who are alternately repelled and attracted to the family and its heritage. "Maurice" is about an undergraduate at Cambridge before World War I who discovers that he is homosexual. 255p. This book weighs more than 2 pounds when packaged to ship. SCW03784 Price:
