Dust jacket shows very, very minor overall shelf wear with some very, very slight fading on the spine plus it is in a protective mylar sleeve. A collection of the most notable essays by a former U.S. Senator from Oregon who was also an accomplished journalist. These include his eyewitness account of Hitler's "New Germany," FDR's New Deal, his personal rise in Oregon politics in the 1950s, portraits of major political figures, and his home state of Oregon, its history, politics, and natural landscape.
