The Mylar protected dust jacket has minor overall shelf wear with some very light edge wear and overall rubbing. Querétaro Temples and Convents of the Colonial Era, volume one: The Golden Altars of Santa Rosa de Viterbo and Santa Clara de Jesús. Part one of this fascinating book gives a brief history of the Golden Altar from its beginnings in Europe, presenting some of the most notable in Spain and going on to discuss Mexican Golden Altars from the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries. The second and third parts describe architecture and tell the stories of Santa Rosa de Viterbo and Santa Clara de Jesus and of the priceless treasures they contain, accompanied by excellent photographs. The final part describes the Golden Altar of the parish of Cadereyta, as well as other beautiful temples of Mexico. Sabrelio Negrete Moreno begin his literary career in 1984 with a story that he edited about the Autonomous University of Querétaro. Since 1987 he has published four weekly articles about architectural and historical issues in the newspaper Diario de Queretaro. In 1996, he published 'La Casa de Ignacio Mariano de las Casas'. For this work the state government awarded him the State Award for Journalism, Honorarable Mention, in 1988 and 1990. In 1993, he published 'San Augustín, Templo y Convento' (San Augustine, Church and Convent) and in 1995 he published the first book in his series 'Casas y Casonas de Querétaro' (Houses and Mansions of Queretaro), which was reissued in 1998. In that same year the publication of his second volume of this series achieved a great success. In both books the reader can find the architectural description of the houses of Querétaro, their stories and a few legends about them that have been passed down from generation to generation until today. With the series 'Templos y Conventos de Querétaro' (Temples and Monasteries of Querétaro), the author has made a commitment to describe the treasures of Querétaro temples.
