BY2 - A hard cover first American edition withdrawn ex-library book in very good condition. Stated first American edition with no additional printings indicated. A tight, clean, sound copy in dark blue cloth covered boards with some fading along the top and bottom edges of the cloth plus there are tiny patches of board showing at the front bottom left corner and the back bottom left and right corners plus there is some very light bumping of the right board corners plus there is some tape staining on the the outside surfaces of the front and back boards and the front and back free endpapers from where the dust jacket mylar sleeve endflaps have been taped to the boards plus there are the usual library stamps and pocket on the front free endpaper and the copyright page plus the book is lightly shelf cocked plus there is some very light soiling and yellowing of the outside paper edges. The dust jacket shows minor overall shelf wear with fome fading on the spine plus there is a label stain and some surface chipping surrounding it on the spine from a library label plus there is some scattered soiling on the back plus there is some very light edge wear alon gthe top and bottom spione edges plus it is still in the original library mylar sleeve. A biography of the British king Henry V that is an assessment of his reign and his later representation of the spirit of British nationalism but with a particular emphasis on his social and economic legacy from his reopening of the Hundred Years War in France. Illustrated with black and white reproductions and photographs. Endnotes, indexed, 287p. SCW11929
