Stated first edition on the copyright page with a series of numbers with the "1" present with no additional printings indicated. A tight, clean, sound copy in textured blue paper covered boards with silver lettering on the spine with very minor overall shelf wear with a light mark in black ink on the top outside paper edges made by the original owner. The dust jacket shows very minor overall hself wear with very, very light edge wear along the top and bottom spine edges and right corners plus there is a tiny (less than 0.25") closed tear on the back bottom edge. The main character is a frelance reporter who investigates the private life and death of one of his childhood idols, the second African-American New York Yankee. This is one of the author's T. S. W.
