The book has the original boards with gilt lettering and design with one letter covered by a cloth tape spine. The boards are badly worn on the corners and edges. There is extensive repairs including cloth tape hinge, glued in pages, and a cloth tape spine with hand printed title and author. A consise history of charicature and comic art from the earliest times and from around the world, illustrated by 203 illustrations.
